The Challenge
Selected on merit for the State squad, the athlete had no racing wheelchair and could not afford travel to national events.
What Was Done
One sponsor funded the racing chair; a hospital committed a year of physiotherapy; travel was covered from pooled contributions.

The Result
The athlete competed at two national meets and finished on the podium at the second.
